For the month of December 2019, Bajaj Auto reported lower than expected sales numbers. However, 3-wheeler sales saw a rise of 8% yoy to 51,253 units in December 2019 vs, 47,344 units in December 2018.
The stock is trading lower by ~1% in trade today post the announcement of monthly sales numbers.
Total Motorcyles sales (domestic + exports) came in at 284,802 units in December 2019 vs. 298,555 units in December 2018, a decline of 5% yoy.
Total vehicles (MC + CV) sales in the domestic market came in at 153,163 units vs. 180,351 units in December 2018, a decline of 15% yoy; while that of exports stood at 182,892 units vs. 165,848 units, up 10% yoy.

Bajaj Auto Ltd is currently trading at Rs3,123.60 down by Rs23.35 or 0.74% from its previous closing of Rs3,146.95 on the BSE.
