PNB rises 3% after reports of Nirav Modi's mortgaged assets being returned to the bank

Punjab National BankShares of Punjab National Bank rose by over 3% after media reports suggested that Nirav Modi's assets mortgaged with PNB will be given back to the bank.


CNBC TV18 reported that Nirav Modi's assets worth Rs1,200-1,500cr that were mortgaged with PNB and attached by ED will be given back to the bank.

Punjab National Bank is currently trading at Rs66.45 up by Rs1.75 or 2.7% from its previous closing of Rs64.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs65.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs66.95 and Rs64.60 respectively. So far 2,12,42,845 (NSE+BSE) shares were traded on the counter.

The current market cap of the company is Rs43,592.05cr.
