Shares of United Breweries are
trading lower on the BSE in the morning trade. The company has said
it's not aware of any event that hints at the possibility of Heineken
raising stake in the company.
“We are also not aware of any information that has been announced to the stock exchanges which could explain the aforesaid movement in the price of the scrip from Rs1,239.95 to Rs1,312.75. We are not aware of the above-mentioned news item and its source, nor do we have any insight on the factual correctness of the information,” the company said in the filing.
United Breweries Ltd is currently trading at Rs1,280, down by Rs19.4 or 1.49% from its previous closing of Rs1,299.40 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs1,287 and has touched a high and low of Rs1,295.10 and Rs1,273.20 respectively.
