Reserve Bank announces third Targeted Long Term Repo Operation

As announced in the Statement of Developmental and Regulatory Policies on March 27, 2020, the Reserve Bank will conduct TLTROs of up to 3-years tenor of appropriate sizes for a total amount of up to Rs1 lakh cr. So far, TLTROs for Rs50,000cr have been conducted in two tranches. It has now been decided to conduct another TLTRO operation for Rs25,000cr.

The funds availed under this tranche of TLTRO would have to be deployed within 30 working days from the date of the operation, the RBI said.
